Water dispensers for still, cold and sparkling water: filters, CO2 and maintenance
Water dispensers are systems used to dispense room-temperature, cold, still or sparkling water depending on system configuration. They are used in homes, offices, bars, restaurants, canteens, companies and professional environments, often combined with filters, carbonation systems, CO2 cylinders, faucets or dispensing towers.

What water dispensers are
Cold water dispensing
The dispenser chills incoming water and makes it available for serving. Selection depends on required flow rate, number of users and intended application.
Still or sparkling water
Some systems dispense only still water, while others can also produce sparkling water through a carbonation system and CO2 cylinder. Configuration must be chosen according to installation needs.
Under-counter or countertop systems
Water dispensers can be installed under the counter, integrated into furniture or placed externally. Selection depends on available space, design, maintenance access and the connected faucet or dispensing tower.
Main components
Cooling system
The cooling unit is the core of the dispenser and can work with different technologies and capacities. Performance depends on ambient temperature, flow rate, usage and ventilation.
Water filter
A filter is often installed before the dispenser to improve water taste and odor, protect the system and reduce sediment or impurities according to the filter type selected.
Carbonation system and CO2
To produce sparkling water, the system requires a carbonator, CO2 cylinder, pressure reducer, valves, tubes and fittings suitable for the application.
Faucet or dispensing tower
Water can be dispensed through a dedicated faucet, countertop tower, push buttons or multi-way systems for room-temperature, cold, sparkling or filtered water.
What to check before choosing
Flow rate and cooling capacity
The dispenser must be sized according to the number of users, required water volume and type of service: home, office, bar, restaurant or professional application.
Space and ventilation
A water dispenser needs enough space for installation, ventilation, spare part access, filter replacement and connection to water supply, drain and possible CO2 cylinder.
Type of water to dispense
Before purchasing, define whether one, two, three or more outlets are needed: room-temperature water, cold water, sparkling water, hot water or filtered water.
Water dispenser maintenance
Filter replacement
Filters must be replaced according to treated liters, time of use and incoming water quality. Saturated filters can reduce flow rate and dispensing quality.
Periodic sanitizing
Sanitizing the system, water lines, faucet and components in contact with water is important to maintain hygiene and proper operation.
CO2 and pressure check
In sparkling water systems, CO2 cylinder, pressure reducer, tubes, fittings and carbonation quality should be checked regularly.
Helpful tip:
To choose the correct water dispenser, start from the type of dispensing required, number of users, flow rate, available space and future maintenance of filters, CO2, faucets and spare parts.
