Faucets and dispensing towers for filtered, chilled and sparkling water: selection, outlets, fittings and maintenance

```
Faucets and dispensing towers for filtered water are components used to dispense treated, microfiltered, chilled, still, cold or sparkling water. They can be installed on residential systems, offices, bars, restaurants, water dispensers, sparkling water systems, reverse osmosis units and professional under-counter systems.
What faucets and dispensing towers are used for
Dispensing treated water
Faucets and dispensing towers allow water from filters, reverse osmosis systems, water dispensers or sparkling water systems to be served. They are the final dispensing point of the system and must be selected according to the type of water to be delivered.
Single or multiple outlets
A faucet can have one outlet or multiple separate outlets for room-temperature, cold, sparkling, hot or filtered water. The correct choice depends on the system configuration and the users to be served.
Countertop or sink installation
Dispensing towers are often installed above the counter, while faucets can be installed on a sink, kitchen top or dedicated dispensing area. Space, hole size and access to connections must be checked before installation.
Main types
1-way faucets
One-way faucets are used to dispense a single water line, such as filtered, reverse osmosis or chilled water. They are simple and suitable for compact systems.
2, 3, 4 or 5-way faucets
Multi-way faucets can manage several separate lines, such as room-temperature, cold, sparkling, hot or filtered water. They are useful when multiple functions are required from a single dispensing point.
Countertop dispensing towers
Dispensing towers are suitable for offices, bars, canteens, restaurants and professional installations. They may include buttons, levers, mechanical controls or systems for multiple types of water.
Mixer faucets
Some faucets can manage both mains water and treated water, avoiding the installation of several dispensing points on the sink or countertop.
What to check before choosing
Number of outlets
Before purchasing, define how many water lines must be dispensed. A system with cold and sparkling water requires a different configuration compared with a simple under-sink filter.
Connection type
Always check tube diameter, fittings, threads, quick-connect fittings and compatibility with the water dispenser, sparkling water system, filter or reverse osmosis unit.
Installation space
Check countertop hole size, available depth, under-sink clearance, tube access and future maintenance space.
Installation and maintenance
Correct line connection
Each line must be connected to the correct inlet of the faucet or dispensing tower. With sparkling water, tubes and fittings compatible with pressure and CO2 must be used.
Leak check
After installation, always check for leaks on fittings, tubes, gaskets, threads and under-counter connections.
Cleaning and sanitizing
Dispensing points should be cleaned and sanitized periodically, especially in professional environments, offices, bars, restaurants and high-use systems.
Helpful tip:
To choose the correct faucet or dispensing tower, start from the type of water to be served, the number of outlets required, available space and compatibility with fittings, tubes, water dispenser, sparkling water system or filtration unit.
