Self-cleaning filter

Hydrocyclone sand separator
A hydrocyclone separates sand and heavy particles using the vortex movement of water. It is suitable when sand or particles with higher specific weight are present.
Combined filtration

What to check before choosing
Type of impurities
Before choosing, it is important to understand whether the water contains sand, rust, silt, turbidity or fine particles. Each problem may require a different system.

The filter must be sized according to the required flow rate. An undersized system may create pressure drop, reduce pressure and require frequent maintenance.
Pressure and drain connection

Self-cleaning filters and hydrocyclones are often installed upstream of the system, before softeners, membranes, fine filters, pumps, valves and technical equipment.
Periodic cleaning
The drain should be operated periodically according to water quality and the amount of collected sediment. If much sand is present, maintenance must be more frequent.
Seal and screen check
During maintenance, check gaskets, bowl, filtering screen, drain valves, fittings and any possible leaks or clogging.
Helpful tip:
A self-cleaning filter or hydrocyclone does not always replace fine filtration. To protect the system correctly, evaluate impurity type, flow rate, pressure and the presence of downstream filtration stages.
