Full description
Latest generation water softeners with volumetric valve. These systems are equipped with a mixing valve to adjust the water hardness at the outlet and an integrated bypass to simplify installation. Four different types of regeneration: Time initiated (after the programmed number of days), Meter immediate (when a certain amount of water passes through), Delayed regenerations (based on the water volume and the programmed time), Mixed regenerations (similar to delayed regeneration, but allows programming a safety regeneration after the set number of days).
The valve is equipped with a multilingual internal programmer that allows it to be used in: English, Italian, Spanish, German, French, Romanian, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Russian, and Hungarian.
CE, NSF, D.M. 25, D.M. 174 Certified.
All devices can be customized with your logo.
Features
* Pressure min.: 2,1 bar(2,1 kg/cm2)
* Pressure Max.: 8,6 bar(8,6 kg/cm2)
* Temperature Min: 1°C
* Temperature Max: 38°C
The water softener is equipped with a built-in 9V battery that activates in case of emergency when a power outage occurs, ensuring continuous operation.
The system does not always require a full regeneration cycle, and thanks to the innovative "micro-regeneration" function, this softener can run a reduced 20-minute cycle when needed.
Equipped with "vacation mode", the softener will automatically perform a rinse after 7 days of inactivity to prevent water stagnation.
Water hardness (Limestone)
Expressed in °F (French degrees), hardness can be measured with Titrant drops, essential for identifying the most suitable water softener and optimizing salt consumption.
Adjusting the outlet hardness
It is recommended not to deliver fully softened water in domestic installations. Meddalsoft softeners are equipped with an residual hardness integrated regulator, allowing precise setting of the treated water's hardness. To adjust the residual hardness, gently open the MIX valve regulator. All softeners come with this valve fully closed and will therefore deliver water at 0°F. For water intended for human consumption, a residual hardness between 5 and 10°F is recommended for copper pipes and between 8 and 10°F for iron pipes. Depending on the programmed outlet hardness, the softener will tend to produce more softened water with less salt consumption because the inlet hardness is compensated by the outlet value. A 30 liter resin water softener with an inlet hardness of 40°F and an outlet hardness of 5°F develops 4,857 liters of softened water (170:35=4,857). In this case, 4.9 m³ needs to be programmed into the softener's treatment capacity using the display buttons. On average, a person consumes 150 liters of water per day, and a time-based regeneration every 4/5 days is recommended. Therefore, a family of 4 with water at 40°F consumes 3,000 liters in 5 days, so a 30-liter softener with a regeneration programmed even at 6 days can be installed.
Benefits and advantages
* Reduction of water hardness, which causes scaling.
* Energy savings: the device prevents scale build-up in pipes and ducts.
* Greater sense of well-being during showers.
* Soft and clean skin.
* Increased lifespan of appliances and boilers.
* Economic savings: reduced use of soaps, softeners, and chemicals.
* Reduced maintenance costs.
* Fully automatic operation. You only need to add salt to the softener.
Increased sodium (for drinking water)
Most of the sodium consumed comes from food, especially those processed industrially. Salt is an excellent preservative and is therefore used as an additive in processed products. Sodium intake from drinking water is relatively low compared to that from food. All softeners produce softened water through ion exchange in the resins, resulting in sodium ions in the softened water. The recommended sodium limit for drinking water is 200 ppm per liter. Depending on the sodium concentration and water hardness, the water may have a sodium concentration higher than recommended. If this occurs or if a low-sodium diet is necessary, it is advisable to install a domestic reverse osmosis system for drinking water.

Warnings
To safeguard the system and the entire installation from pebbles and various suspended sediments, it is recommended to install a housing with a polypropylene-wound cartridge with a filtering density of 50 microns or higher.
