Full description
An essential accessory for every water softener, this salt alarm system is assembled outside the brine well and is powered by a 9V battery (not included) with a lifespan of over 4 years.
Installation and operation
- Assemble the appropriate clamps to the detector based on the outer diameter of the brine well (the package includes two 2" clamps and two 4" clamps).
- Secure the detector to the outside of the brine well and adjust it to the correct height (as close as possible to the bottom grid).
- Connect the cable to the beeper unit.
- Secure the unit properly and turn on the switch: after a first beep and a green blink during one minute, the system is ready for operation.
- When an insufficient amount of salt is detected, an alarm signal with a flashing light and intermittent sound is activated, which stops as soon as the salt is refilled.
Light indicators
Green blinking light: System correctly operating
Red blinking light: Salt shortage alarm; check and add the necessary salt.
Double red blinking light: Low battery; check and replace the battery on the back of the unit.
Advantages and Benefits
- Prevention of operational interruptions: by notifying the user when the salt needs to be refilled, it prevents the softener from operating without a key element required for its proper functioning.
- Improved water quality: ensures the softener is always working efficiently, keeping the treated water at the correct hardness level. If the salt runs out without the user noticing, the water will no longer be properly treated, leading to limescale buildup and scaling in pipes, appliances, and taps.
- Extended system lifespan: keeping the salt level within the correct range reduces the risk of system damage, increasing its service life. A softener that runs continuously with the right salt levels operates more efficiently and lasts longer.
Purchasing a salt alarm system not only helps you maintaining your system in peak efficiency, but also provides peace of mind, minimizing unexpected issues related to water treatment.
