Dual-action filtration system consisting of a special catalytic filter bed with Birm, a black granular medium for iron removal, an inlet Melt Blown filter layer and an outlet filter element.

The catalytic material uses dissolved oxygen in the water to promote oxidation and removal of dissolved iron and manganese.

Iron may be present as soluble ferrous bicarbonate, a condition that makes mechanical filtration alone insufficient for effective removal.

The mechanical filtration action performed by the inlet Melt Blown filter layer reduces suspended particles thanks to a filtration rating of 5 micron.

IRON filters are designed for potable water treatment and for the reduction of dissolved iron and manganese, helping improve the taste of treated water.

Filters with Rapid System connection to be used with the appropriate filter head. The connection is compatible with filter heads of the main products available on the market. Flow rate may vary depending on inlet pressure.

• Activation: it is recommended to flush water through the filter at maximum pressure and flow rate for 5 minutes in order to allow the air inside the cartridge to be purged.

• Cartridge replacement: it is recommended to replace the unit annually and/or every 6 months when its capacity is exhausted or when a significant increase of iron in treated water is detected.

Do not use with microbiologically unsafe or unknown quality water without adequate disinfection before or after the system. Use only with potable water. All systems must be maintained according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
