ECOMIX is a granular filtering media for water treatment, a single product ideal for reducing organic substances and removing hardness, iron, manganese and ammonia, regardless of the pH value and the presence of chlorine.

This filtering product is a patented blend of five different high-quality natural and synthetic materials, proportioned in specific percentages, which act through ion exchange and absorption.

ECOMIX is used like a regular softening resin and is regenerated through classic processes of backwashing, brining and fast rinse.

ECOMIX C is specific for muncipal or well waters with a high organic content and can treat water with high quantities of iron, manganese, and a maximum TDS of 4000 mg/l.

Reduction of non-oxidized iron and manganese
Thanks to the action of "FerroSorb," it guarantees an absorption and adsorption process of non-oxidized iron and manganese present in the water.

Reduction of oxidized iron
The presence of inert resin within the mixture ensures an effective reduction of oxidized iron in the water.

Reduction of organic substances
The hydrophobic and electrostatic properties of "HumiSorb" within the mixture, provides an extraordinary reduction of organic compounds suspended in the water.

Reduction of water hardness
Due to a significant percentage of cationic resin in Ecomix, this filtering media reduces the presence of limestone by softening the water.

The volume capacity (the volume of water the system can treat between regenerations) is calculated by multiplying the volume of Ecomix by its exchange value, then dividing the whole by the hardness value you want to be removed from the water. Other values, such as iron and manganese present in the water, do not influence the cyclic capacity calculation.

Volume capacity (m3) = (Ecomix Volume (L) x Exchange Capacity (g CaCO3)) / Hardness to be removed (ppm CaCO3)
Volume capacity (m3) = (25 L x 30 g CaCO3) / 350 ppm CaCO3 = 2,14 m3

To ensure proper pre-filtration before the system, it is recommended to purchase:
1x 02001014-02 10" 3-pieces standard housing clear IN-OUT 1" with wrench & wall mounting bracket
2x 04001006-05 Ionicore wound polypropylene cartridge 9-3/4" - 50 micron

For maximum efficiency, it is advised to use cylinders with a height of at least 35" and not fill them beyond 60% of their volume.
